Fabulous Summer Hair!
Humidity, chlorine & sweat from the hot sun can literally bring your hair & overall look down. You can spend hours on perfect makeup and the perfect outfit, but if your hair is not up to par, the rest is a mess! If your busy and your hair is like mine (wavy & unruly) or fine and limp then what you need is something simple and effective. I like to keep my hair nice and natural and have found a few products that work well.
I’m a no fuss kinds of gal and I’ve really fallen in love with these products from Sunsilk. For this photo, I used their Waves of Envy product line. I used a few drops of the cream and twisted my hair in sections then let it dry naturally. I used a medium barrel curling iron on a few strands around my face. Other days, I use their Sea Mist when I get out of the shower then crunch my hair while it dries for natural looking waves. If I’ve over slept and don’t have time to wash, I find that Afterparty can really be a lifesaver. Smooth a dime size amount on your ends and pin it up. Done!
Remember, no matter what your hair type, keep experimenting with new products because polished hair is as important as icing on a cake!
Cut it out:
Start with the professionals. Go to your local salon and ask for a cut that’s low maintenance.
Dry Scalp: Healthy Scalp = Healthy looking hair
Use a clarifying or dandruff shampoo and add a few tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar for added cleansing power. If your dry scalp is really bad, then mix 1 part dandruff shampoo + 1/2 part apple cider vinegar. It’s really pungent and can burn your eyes so be very careful. Pour this mixture into a separate bottle and use once a week. Adjust the apple cider vinegar to your tolerance level. If you have scalp wounds, wait until they heal.
